BTDHS was started in 2004 as an idea from the Johns Hopkins Center for Social Organization of Schools. The Talent Development High School model reflects a comprehensive reform for large high schools facing serious problems with student attendance, discipline, achievement scores, and dropout rates. At BTDHS, students are encouraged to discover and develop their talents, with a primary focus on increasing cognitive abilities and preparation for college. |
